There is no reason to hold on to a toxic employee.  But first let’s make sure we understand the  distinction between toxic employees and lousy employees because “Poor Performers” are a whole different breed.A toxic employee is someone who breeds discontent, causes problems for customers, colleagues and managers and lacks ethics. There’s no way to rehabilitate these types of workers. In most cases, the person is costing you so much more than you realize.
